In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Thornton Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 46-43 triumph over the Rich Township Raptors.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) in a Southland match, on Friday, January 27. Thornton will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Kays enter the match with a 17-6 record after their 72-70 league win over Thornridge (Dolton, IL).
