January 24, 2023: Georgetown, IL 61846 The Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes basketball team scored 2 points and held the visiting Villa Grove Blue Devils to 0 in the Buffaloes non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buffaloes now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Schlarman for a Vermilion Valley contest on Thursday, January 26. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 38-8 league loss to Milford (Milford, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 0-10.
The Blue Devils (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon (Farmer City, IL). The enter the non-league contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon was nudged by Decatur Lutheran (Decatur, IL), 44-36, in a league contest.
