South Dakota High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon/Plankinton knocked off by Wagner
January 24, 2023: Wagner, SD 57380 The Wagner Red Raiders basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans to 55 in the Red Raiders league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Raiders now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scotland for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Wagner will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 45-41 league win over Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-5.
The Titans (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Winner (Winner, SD). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Winner ran past Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD), 38-28, in a non-league contest.
