The Negaunee Miners got by the visiting Calumet Copper Kings ice hockey squad by a count of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

With the victory, Negaunee moves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Escanaba (Escanaba, MI) to face the Eskymos in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Eskymos go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

The Copper Kings now sport a 0-12 record. They take the field next when they host De Pere for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28.
