Massachusetts High School Basketball - Dennis-Yarmouth Regional can't hold off New Bedford
January 24, 2024: South Yarmouth, MA 02664 The New Bedford Whalers basketball team scored 83 points and restricted the host Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins to 81 in the Whalers non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Whalers now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boston English for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. New Bedford will battle a Eagles team coming off a 54-40 non-league win over Brighton (Brighton, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-8.
The Dolphins (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Nauset Regional (North Eastham, MA). The Warriors come into the Cape & Islands - Atlantic contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Nauset Regional was nudged by Wareham (Wareham, MA), 84-53, in a non-league contest.
