Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV), 55-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Preston upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Knights host Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV) to play the Colts in a Big Ten bout on Friday, January 26. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) in a Big Ten bout, on Thursday, January 25. Grafton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 52-49 league win over Lincoln (Shinnston, WV).
