Illinois High School Basketball - Plainfield South edges Lockport
January 24, 2024: Plainfield, IL 60544 The Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL), 62-55 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Cougars (7-13) will now prepare for their test against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL). The Spartans go into the SouthWest Prairie test with a 15-8 record. In their last test, Romeoville got by Oswego (Oswego, IL), 64-45, in a league test.
The Porters now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Stagg for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Lockport will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 82-78 non-league loss to Sandburg (Orland Park, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 13-9.
