In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds basketball team scored a good 45-27 triumph over the North Greene Spartans.

In their next game, the Piasa Birds meet the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a South Central match, on Friday, January 26. Southwestern will attempt to better on its 16-7 season record. The Comets enter the match with a 15-8 record after their 46-44 non-league win over Carlyle (Carlyle, IL).
