Florida High School Basketball - First Coast can't hold off Stanton

The Stanton Blue Devils basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting First Coast Buccaneers to 60 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nease for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Stanton will battle a Panthers team coming off a 55-49 non-league win over Creekside (St. Johns, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 12-10.

The Buccaneers (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Mandarin was nudged by Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, FL), 56-18, in a non-league contest.
