Kentucky High School Basketball - Harlan knocked off by Pikeville
January 24, 2024: Harlan, KY 40831 The Pikeville Panthers basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Harlan Green Dragons to 41 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Panthers now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crittenden County for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Pikeville will battle a Rockets team coming off a 56-53 non-league win over Lexington Christian (Lexington, KY). The Rockets record now stands at 12-7.
The Green Dragons (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Knox Central (Barbourville, KY). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Knox Central ran past Jackson County (McKee, KY), 65-50, in a non-league contest.
