January 24, 2024: Highland Springs, VA 23075 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) and the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), saw Highland Springs's basketball squad hold off Mechanicsville by a tally of 24-17.
With the victory, Highland Springs improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Springers host Armstrong (Richmond, VA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Armstrong lost 34-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Mechanicsville will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 41-27 non-league win over Henrico (Richmond, VA).
