California High School Soccer - La Costa Canyon nudges Cathedral Catholic
January 24, 2024: San Diego, CA 92130 La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Cathedral Catholic Dons (San Diego, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. La Costa Canyon will attempt to better on its 12-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA).
The Dons now have a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Augustine for a challenge on Friday, January 26. Cathedral Catholic will confront a Saints team coming off a 1-0 league win over University City (San Diego, CA). The Saints record now stands at 9-0.
