In Friday's non-league test, the Balboa Roughriders (Clearwater, FL) basketball squad trounced the host River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), by a score of 85-47.

Next, the Roughriders encounter the Specially Fit Academy Rams (Dover, FL) in a Sunshine Independent test, on Tuesday, January 28. Balboa will attempt to improve on its 10-19 season record.

The Royal Knights (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Gulf (New Port Richey, FL). The Buccaneers come into the non-league test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Gulf was routed by Lecanto (Lecanto, FL), 72-53, in a non-league test.
