Nebraska High School Basketball - Gretna East holds off Boys Town

January 24, 2025: Boys Town, NE 68010

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Gretna East Griffins basketball team scored a close 60-59 triumph over the Boys Town Cowboys.

The Griffins (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pius X (Lincoln, NE). The Thunderbolts go into the non-league contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Pius X was tipped by Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE), 78-62, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cowboys confront the Scotus Shamrocks (Columbus, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Boys Town will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Shamrocks go into the contest with a 13-3 record after their 64-42 non-league win over Archbishop Bergan (Fremont, NE).
