The Richard Montgomery Rockets (Rockville, MD) basketball edged the host Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD), 70-68 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Rockets now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wheaton for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28.

With the loss, Seneca Valley falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Screamin' eagles travel to Magruder (Rockville, MD) to play the Colonels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Magruder won 55-51 in their recent non-league bout against Churchill (Potomac, MD)
