January 24, 2025: Johannesburg, MI 49751 The Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) basketball were winner over the visiting Tawas Area Braves (Tawas City, MI), 45-32 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Inland Lakes for a Ski-Valley bout on Tuesday, January 28. Johannesburg-Lewiston will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 47-46 non-league loss to Pickford (Pickford, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, Tawas Area falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Braves host Alpena (Alpena, MI) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Alpena lost 59-34 in their recent league bout against Petoskey (Petoskey, MI)
