Oklahoma High School Basketball - Merritt overwhelms Quinton
January 24, 2025: Elk City, OK 73644 The Merritt Oilers basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Quinton Savages to 22 in the Oilers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Oilers now possess a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Seiling for a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. Merritt will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 51-35 non-league win over Cheyenne/Reydon (Cheyenne, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-2.
With the loss, Quinton falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Savages travel to Warner (Warner, OK) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 6-13. Warner won 47-42 in their recent league game against Oktaha (Oktaha, OK)
