Louisiana High School Basketball - Tioga can't hold off West Ouachita
January 24, 2025: West Monroe, LA 71292 West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA), 40-33 in a league match.
With the victory, West Ouachita advances its record to 19-6 on the year. The Chiefs travel to Wossman (Monroe, LA) to face the Wildcats in a 4A District 2 match on Friday, January 31. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 21-5. Wossman won 56-16 in their recent league match against Grant (Dry Prong, LA)
The Indians now own a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jena for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Tioga will face a Giants squad coming off a 72-5 league win over Bolton Academy (Alexandria, LA). The Giants record now stands at 6-6.
