Texas High School Soccer - Bastrop nudges Chaparral
January 24, 2025: Bastrop, TX 78602 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX) and the visiting Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX), saw Bastrop's soccer squad hold off Chaparral by a score of 1-0.
The Bears (8-0) will now prepare for their battle against Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX). The Eagles enter the 5A Region 3 District 24 battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Cedar Creek tipped Crockett (Austin, TX), 2-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Bobcats confront the San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 28. Chaparral will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 6-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Abilene (Abilene, TX).
