The Ames Little Cyclones basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Lincoln Railsplitters to 44 in the Little Cyclones non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Little Cyclones now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mason City for a non-league contest on Friday, January 28.

The Railsplitters (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA). The Scarlets enter the Freelance contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Des Moines East was routed by Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA), 67-44, in a non-league contest.
