West Virginia High School Basketball - Parkersburg South overwhelms Buckhannon-Upshur
January 25, 2022: Parkersburg, WV 26101 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV) and the visiting Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV), saw Parkersburg South's basketball squad wallop Buckhannon-Upshur by a tally of 112-54.
With the victory, Parkersburg South improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to confront the Patriots in a Two Rivers challenge on Friday, January 28. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Wheeling Park lost 73-58 in their recent league challenge against Morgantown (Morgantown, WV)
Next up, the Buccaneers confront the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a Big Ten challenge, on Friday, January 28. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 68-66 league win over Preston (Kingwood, WV).
