The Metea Valley Mustangs basketball team scored 81 points and restricted the host Elk Grove Grenadiers to 55 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 1.

The Grenadiers (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Knights come into the Mid-Suburban - East contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Prospect triumphed over Highland Park (Highland Park, IL), 41-39, in a non-league contest.
