Illinois High School Basketball - Montini Catholic crushes Aurora Central Catholic
January 25, 2022: Aurora, IL 60506 Montini Catholic Broncos (Lombard, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL), 62-27 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Montini Catholic upgrades its record to 18-6 on the season. The Broncos travel to Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to play the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 27. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 6-14. Oak Park-River Forest lost 47-30 in their recent league challenge against York (Elmhurst, IL)
Next up, the Chargers confront the Timothy Christian Trojans (Elmhurst, IL) in a Metro Suburban challenge, on Thursday, January 27. Aurora Central Catholic will attempt to improve on its 13-11 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 55-33 non-league loss to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL).
