Texas High School Basketball - Mercedes fells Porter
January 25, 2022: Brownsville, TX 78521 Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), 45-26 in a league bout.
With the win, Mercedes upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Tigers host Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX) to clash with the Chargers in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, January 28. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 24-7. Veterans Memorial won 46-22 in their recent league bout against Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX)
Next up, the Cowboys clash with the Donna Redskins (Donna, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout, on Friday, January 28. Porter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 21-10 record after their 62-32 league win over Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX).
