Illinois High School Basketball - Okawville fells Nashville
January 25, 2022: Nashville, IL 62263 Okawville Rockets (Okawville, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Nashville Hornets (Nashville, IL), 46-33 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Okawville upgrades its record to 25-1 on the season. The Rockets travel to Chester (Chester, IL) to play the Yellowjackets in a Cahokia - Illinois bout on Thursday, January 27. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 11-12. Chester won 59-28 in their recent non-league bout against Steeleville (Steeleville, IL)
Next up, the Hornets play the Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi bout, on Thursday, January 27. Nashville will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 21-4 record after their 32-21 league win over Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL).
