Wakefield Trojans (Wakefield, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Omaha Nation Chiefs (Macy, NE), 70-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wakefield upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Trojans travel to Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (Laurel, NE) to clash with the Bears in a C2 District 5 bout on Thursday, January 27. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge lost 38-35 in their recent non-league bout against Osmond (Osmond, NE)

Next up, the Chiefs clash with the Flandreau Indian Indians (Flandreau, SD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 27. Omaha Nation will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
