Illinois High School Basketball - Carmel crushes Joliet Catholic
January 25, 2023: Mundelein, IL 60060 Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL), 60-30 in a league bout.
With the win, Carmel upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season. The Corsairs host Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL) to face the Lions in a non-league game on Saturday, January 28. The Lions enter the game with a record of 8-17. Saint Viator lost 53-47 in their recent non-league game against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL)
With the defeat, Joliet Catholic moves to 12-14 on the year. The Hilltoppers travel to Benet Academy (Lisle, IL) to face the Redwings in a non-league game on Saturday, January 28. The Redwings enter the game with a record of 16-6. Benet Academy won 55-31 in their recent non-league game against Fenwick (Oak Park, IL)
