January 25, 2023: Ijamsville, MD 21754 The Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD), 39-35 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The (11-5) will now prepare for their test against St. James (Hagerstown, MD). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, St. James got by Brookewood (Kensington, MD), 25-24, in a non-league test.
The Mavericks now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Westminster for a Carroll County test on Friday, January 27. Manchester Valley will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 42-35 league win over South Carroll (Sykesville, MD). The Owls record now stands at 11-4.
