California High School Basketball - San Marcos nips La Costa Canyon
January 25, 2023: Carlsbad, CA 92009 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) and the host La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA), saw San Marcos's basketball squad hold off La Costa Canyon by a tally of 61-56.
With the victory, San Marcos improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA) to play the Falcons in a challenge on Friday, January 27. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 23-0. Torrey Pines won 68-43 in their recent league challenge against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA)
Next up, the Mavericks play the El Camino Wildcats (Oceanside, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, January 27. La Costa Canyon will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 48-31 league loss to Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA).
