Illinois High School Basketball - Winnebago tops Marengo
January 25, 2023: Winnebago, IL 61088 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL) and the visiting Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL), saw Winnebago's basketball squad knock off Marengo by a count of 63-48.
With the victory, Winnebago upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Indians host Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL) to play the Cogs in a challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Cogs come into the challenge with a record of 14-8.
Next up, the Indians play the Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) in a challenge, on Friday, January 27. Marengo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-19 season record. The Thunder come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 56-49 league loss to Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL).
