January 25, 2024: Holden, LA 70744 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Benjamin Franklin Falcons (New Orleans, LA) and the host Holden Rockets (Holden, LA), saw Benjamin Franklin's basketball squad hold off Holden by a tally of 50-47.
With the victory, Benjamin Franklin improves its record to 5-18 on the campaign. The Falcons host Abramson (New Orleans, LA) to play the Commodores in a 4A District 11 challenge on Monday, January 29. The Commodores come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Abramson won 57-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Varnado (Angie, LA)
Next up, the Rockets play the Christ Episcopal School Wildcats (Covington, LA) in a B District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Holden will attempt to improve on its 11-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 52-38 league loss to Mt. Hermon (Mt. Hermon, LA).
