Oklahoma High School Basketball - Laverne holds off Garber
January 25, 2024: Garber, OK 73738 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Laverne Tigers (Laverne, OK) and the host Garber Wolverines (Garber, OK), saw Laverne's basketball squad hold off Garber by a tally of 61-54.
With the victory, Laverne improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Turpin (Turpin, OK) to confront the Cardinals in a Panhandle Six challenge on Friday, January 26. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Turpin lost 59-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Mooreland (Mooreland, OK)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Texhoma Red Devils (Texhoma, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Garber will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 71-58 non-league loss to Frontier (Red Rock, OK).
