Kentucky High School Basketball - Whitefield Academy knocked off by Hancock County
January 25, 2024: Louisville, KY 40228 The Hancock County Hornets basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Whitefield Academy Wildcats to 44 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hornets now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frederick Fraize for a District 11 contest on Monday, January 29. Hancock County will battle a Aces team coming off a 55-50 non-league win over Cannelton (Cannelton, IN). The Aces record now stands at 2-14.
The Wildcats (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Community Christian (Paducah, KY). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, Community Christian was defeated by Heritage Christian Academy (Hopkinsville, KY), 62-59, in a non-league contest.
