West Virginia High School Basketball - Weir tops Indian Creek
January 25, 2024: Weirton, WV 26062 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Weir Red Riders (Weirton, WV) and the visiting Indian Creek Redskins (Wintersville, OH), saw Weir's basketball squad knock off Indian Creek by a tally of 55-45.
With the victory, Weir improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Red Riders host Madonna (Weirton, WV) to play the Blue Dons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Blue Dons come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Madonna lost 61-41 in their recent league challenge against Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV)
Next up, the Redskins play the Cambridge Bobcats (Cambridge, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Indian Creek will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 84-58 non-league loss to St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH).
