Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN), 33-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Connersville upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season.

Next up, the Trojans play the Whiteland Warriors (Whiteland, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. East Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-16 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 64-42 league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, IN).
