Louisiana High School Basketball - Riverside Academy tops Fisher
January 25, 2024: Lafitte, LA 70067 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Riverside Academy Rebels (Reserve, LA) and the host Fisher Gators (Lafitte, LA), saw Riverside Academy's basketball squad knock off Fisher by a count of 33-25.
With the victory, Riverside Academy upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA) to play the Saints in a 1A District 10 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. St. Martin's Episcopal won 52-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA)
Next up, the Gators play the Ursuline Academy Lions (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Fisher will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 21-19 league win over Morris Jeff (New Orleans, LA).
