Washington High School Basketball - Mount Vernon overwhelmed by Nooksack Valley
January 25, 2024: Everson, WA 98247 The Nooksack Valley Pioneers basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs to 24 in the Pioneers league victory on Thursday.
The Pioneers now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Wednesday, January 31. Nooksack Valley will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 39-33 league loss to Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 3-5.
The Bulldogs (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA). The Cubs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Sedro-Woolley triumphed over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA), 68-36, in a league contest.
