Florida High School Basketball - Northwestern topped by Somerset Academy South Homestead

The Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Northwestern Bulls to 45 in the Hurricanes non-league victory on Thursday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Somerset Academy South Homestead will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 47-15 non-league win over TERRA Environmental (Miami, FL). The Cyclones record now stands at 10-5.

The Bulls (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Carol City (Miami, FL). The Chiefs come into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Carol City dropped by North Miami (North Miami, FL), 41-3, in a non-league contest.
