In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Benet Academy Redwings basketball team scored a good 73-56 triumph over the Rich Township Raptors.

The Redwings (20-4) will now prepare for their battle against Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL). The Lions enter the East Suburban Catholic battle with a 16-6 record.

The Raptors now own a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fenwick for a non-league battle on Sunday, January 26. Rich Township will meet a Friars squad coming off a 50-42 league win over Leo (Chicago, IL). The Friars record now stands at 15-6.
