Illinois High School Basketball - Highland thwarts Carlyle
January 25, 2025: Highland, IL 62249 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL) and the visiting Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians (Carlyle, IL), observed Highland's basketball team knock off Carlyle by a score of 59-46.
The Bulldogs (13-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Jersey (Jerseyville, IL). The Panthers come into the Mississippi Valley challenge with a 7-16 record. In their last challenge, Jersey was knocked off by Cahokia (Cahokia, IL), 51-50, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians/Lady Indians encounter the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Carlyle will attempt to improve on its 16-4 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 14-8 record after their 44-43 non-league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).
