The Carmel Corsairs were victorious over the host Lake Zurich Bears basketball squad by a final score of 54-38 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Corsairs face the Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic outing, on Friday, January 31. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 18-6 record after their 59-43 league win over St. Patrick (Chicago, IL).

The Bears (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against Libertyville (Libertyville, IL). The Wildcats enter the North Suburban outing with a 10-9 record. In their last outing, Libertyville was dropped by Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL), 63-44, in a non-league outing.
