Illinois High School Basketball - Macomb bests Kewanee
January 25, 2025: Macomb, IL 61455 The Macomb Bombers basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Kewanee Boilermakers to 36 in the Bombers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bombers now possess a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Bushnell-Prairie City for a Prairieland game on Tuesday, January 28. Macomb will play a Spartans team coming off a 44-43 league loss to Havana (Havana, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-14.
With the loss, Kewanee falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Boilermakers travel to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL) to play the Pirates in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 6-9. Ottawa lost 64-39 in their recent league game against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)
