In Saturday's non-league test, the Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host T.W. Andrews Red Raiders (High Point, NC), by a score of 54-43.

Next, the Villains encounter the Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix (Winston-Salem, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont test, on Monday, January 27. Bishop McGuinness will attempt to improve on its 13-0 season record. The Phoenix come into the test with a 1-7 record after their 0-0 league Leadership Academy (Kernersville, NC).

The Red Raiders (13-1) will now prepare for their test against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings come into the 2A Mid-State test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, North Forsyth beat Reidsville (Reidsville, NC), 53-38, in a league test.
