The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) and the visiting Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV), observed Nitro's basketball team knock off Cabell Midland by a score of 60-40.

The Wildcats (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ripley (Ripley, WV). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Ripley prevailed over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV), 35-31, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) in a Mountain State challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Cabell Midland will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 13-1 record after their 62-45 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV).
