January 25, 2025: Viola, WI 54664 Kickapoo Panthers (Viola, WI) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Wabeno/Laona Rebels (Wabeno, WI), 38-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Kickapoo advances its record to 15-3 on the year. The Panthers host De Soto (De Soto, WI) to face the Pirates in a Ridge & Valley match on Tuesday, January 28. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 10-5. De Soto lost 66-42 in their recent non-league battle against Rushford-Peterson (Rushford, MN)
The Rebels now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Three Lakes for a Northern Lakes battle on Monday, January 27. Wabeno/Laona will meet a Bluejays squad coming off a 45-29 league loss to Crandon (Crandon, WI). The Bluejays record now stands at 3-6.
