The Southwestern Trojans were victorious over the host Sacred Heart Academy Sharks basketball squad by a final score of 54-36 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Salamanca Warriors (Salamanca, NY) in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - West I outing, on Monday, February 3. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.

The Sharks (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against St. Mary's (Lancaster, NY). The Lancers enter the Monsignor Martin outing with a 13-7 record. In their last outing, St. Mary's was defeated by Nichols (Buffalo, NY), 83-77, in a league outing.
