Florida High School Basketball - Everglades can't hold off Somerset Academy
January 25, 2025: Pembroke Pines, FL 33029 Somerset Academy Panthers (Pembroke Pines, FL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Everglades Gators (Miramar, FL), 56-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Somerset Academy upgrades its record to 6-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Sagemont (Weston, FL) to face the Prep in a non-league match on Monday, January 27. The Prep enter the match with a record of 0-3.
The Gators now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop McCarthy for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Everglades will face a Mavericks squad coming off a 58-43 non-league loss to Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie, FL). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-5.
