The Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) basketball edged the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), 38-33 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Gray Stone Day for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. Mount Pleasant will play a Knights team coming off a 59-37 non-league loss to South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Knights record now stands at 0-10.
