Michigan High School Basketball - Rochester topped by Avondale
January 26, 2023: Auburn Hills, MI 48326 The Avondale Yellowjackets basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Rochester Falcons to 48 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pontiac for a Oakland - Gold contest on Tuesday, January 31. Avondale will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 59-53 league loss to University (Ferndale, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 4-9.
The Falcons (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Royal Oak (Royal Oak, MI). The Ravens come into the Oakland - Blue contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Royal Oak was defeated by Seaholm (Birmingham, MI), 43-32, in a league contest.
