January 26, 2023: Peoria, IL 61603 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Peoria Christian Chargers (Peoria, IL) and the visiting Calvary Christian Academy Knights (Normal, IL), saw Peoria Christian's basketball squad wallop Calvary Christian Academy by a tally of 60-29.
With the victory, Peoria Christian improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Chargers host Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL) to confront the Patriots in a Prairieland challenge on Friday, January 27. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 8-13. Peoria Heights won 35-34 in their recent league challenge against Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL)
Next up, the Knights confront the Decatur Christian Warriors (Forsyth, IL) in a East Central Illinois challenge, on Monday, January 30. Calvary Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 56-11 league loss to Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL).
